But what is this constant extraction of information doing to our lives? While more data means more ways to understand who we are and what we want, there are current fundamental shifts that could have unanticipated consequences.
We have been training the AIs owned by big tech companies - helping them create more efficient models. However, this also can be used to exploit humans through social media marketing. We are more than eyeballs and wallets.
They say that data is the “new oil”, but comparing a finite commodity with the product of who we are is far from reality
