The March was grown to memorialize the historic People’s Climate March in NYC on September 21, 2014
New York City hosted a march that will go down in history as the largest display for climate action to date. What we take for granted now could be lost forever. What we know to be normal ways of life could be rare occasions. This is why I marched.
What was expected to be the largest march for climate justice at 100,000 people turned out to be an astonishing 400,000, along with 2,646 solidarity events in 162 countries. This was big, and the leaders heard us. Many thanks to these leaders and so many more who continue to work tirelessly to help inform and educate about a sustainable future.
