Although we are unable to create more time, we have the ability to make decisions and take actions to ensure the brief amount of time we do have makes a difference. Technology is growing exponentially powerful, and much of it is likely to have very positive effects on humanity – such as the possibility of ending diseases, solving energy issues, reducing global warming, and even halting or reversing climate change. We are running out of time to give Earth's natural processes the time it needs to take a breath and begin healing itself from our current way of life.
