Our lives are woven into an intricate system of chaos and beauty, churning powerful waves of cause and effect throughout the ecosystem. This tightly woven connection allows us to create things of dazzling complexity, as well as unthinkable brutality. Once you realize how your actions have a ripple effect, it’s easier to see the power you have to change the world. We have the power to reach down and lift up the person next to us. When we choose to do this, we activate a ripple effect that can radiate a shock wave of deep human connection. Try it out. Lift up the person next to you and observe their response. This experiment is one of my favorites and should be performed often.
